Baking for the holidays

Postby Belanna on Fri Dec 04, 2009 7:06 pm

Has anyone started baking yet? That's my favorite part of Christmas and getting ready. I love the smell of warm cookies and pies in the house. Yum. :)

I haven't begun baking yet, but I've started to get recipes together for what I would like to make. I've been buying my ingredients up from Sainsbury's.

We've been doing weekly Christmas biscuit batches for two weeks now, on Saturdays. I do enjoy it, and its a fun thing to do with the rest of the family-kids especially.

I know this post is little outdated but I want to be prepared for Christmas 2010. When do you start to bake mince pies? In October and please tell me how to store them too. I may need to hide them away from myself to avoid eating them before Christmas
